The typical human foot is an anatomical marvel of evolution with 26 bones, 33 joints, 20 muscles, and hundreds of sensory receptors, tendons and ligaments. Like the rest of the body, to keep our feet healthy, they need to be stimulated and exercised.
Many experts believe the shoes we wear not only cast the foot in a protective form, but also weaken our foot and leg muscles, leaving them underdeveloped and more prone to injury. And while there are many occasions where traditional footwear is essential for protection, safety, and security, it is equally important to stimulate and exercise the foot in a more natural state on a regular basis.

FAQ:
HOW SHOULD MY FIVEFINGERS FIT?
Ideally, you will want your toes and heel to fit into each pocket comfortably snug, with your longest toe grazing the end of the toe pocket. You do not want the standard 1/2 inch of “wiggle” room as desired in traditional footwear.
Although it is perfectly fine for your toes to graze the end of the toe pockets, make sure that each toe can extend fully. If any of your toes are scrunched or curled due to lack of space, you need to go up in size. Alternately, if you wiggle your toes and they slip out of the toe pockets, you need to go down in size. Ultimately, you should find a pair that you are comfortable in and that allow you to perform activities freely and naturally—as if you are wearing no shoes at all!
I'M A MAN; CAN I WEAR WOMEN'S SIZES? (OR, I'M A WOMAN; CAN I WEAR MEN'S SIZES?)
We have recommended many male consumers to try on a female size FiveFingers and have had great success. The only difference between a male and female FiveFingers is that, male "lasts" are slightly wider and longer than the female models. If your foot is smaller than the smallest male size, certainly try on a female size based on your measurement in inches --you may have much better luck! Alternately, if you are a woman and your foot is bigger than the largest female size, we encourage you to try one of our Men’s models based on your foot measurement in inches.
YOUR SIZE CHART ONLY GOES UP TO 12, AND I'M A 13. CAN I STILL WEAR FIVEFINGERS?
If you look closely at our size chart, you will notice that the numbers printed across the top of the chart refer to your foot’s length in inches, not US size. We found that, due to the precise nature of the FiveFingers fit, the most accurate size translation was in inches, not US shoe size (which varies across brands and styles).
FiveFingers can fit up to a 12 inch foot which roughly translates to a size 15. In order to find the right size, please measure both feet from heel to longest toe with a ruler in inches and refer to our size chart for the right size.
WHAT MATERIALS ARE IN FIVEFINGERS?
The Classic, Sprint, KSO and Flow models’ upper is made with a thin, abrasion-resistant stretch polyamide fabric. The Moc, Performa, and KSO Trek models’ upper is made with a soft, tear resistant kangaroo leather. Our patented Vibram® sole is made from our TC1 performance rubber compound, it’s non-marking and provides excellent grip and ground feel in both wet and dry conditions.
CARE AND CLEANING
Vibram FiveFingers are machine washable. Use gentle, warm water cycle with liquid or powdered detergent. Hang to air dry. Make sure to keep the KSO Trek, Performa, and Moc away from direct sunlight or heat source while drying.

However, the original FiveFingers Classic should not be used in fast moving water. Because the Classic fits low on the foot, the water current or pressure can pull the product off of your heel.

FiveFingers footwear is designed to promote better foot mechanics— naturally. An orthotic is an assistive device to support your foot’s function and help you compensate for any biological aberrations. If you have an extremely flat foot, you will need to work into wearing your FiveFingers® gradually, as your muscles will need time to adapt and strengthen.

Unfortunately the design of FiveFingers does not accommodate webbed toes or Syndactyly. We are unable to make custom FiveFingers to fit specific foot needs.
DO FIVEFINGERS COME IN CHILDREN'S SIZES?
FiveFingers start at size 34 for women, which equates to an 8 & 1/8th inch foot length. This is too big for most children but many youth sizes can fit into our smaller women’s models. Select any model of FiveFingers to view our size conversion chart to see if your child’s foot can fit.
I HAVE A LATEX ALLERGY, SHOULD I USE FIVEFINGERS ?
